Church Governance
The Official Board is the responsible governing body for coordinating and implementing the activities of the church. This volunteer Board meets monthly to oversee the responsibilities of the church as directed in the church constitution or by the congregation. Committees are tasked with meeting at least once a quarter.
The Official Board membership consists of an Administrative Chairperson, Vice-Administrative Chairperson, Official Board Secretary, Church Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Preschool Representation, and representatives from the various Church Committees. Our volunteer Committee’s areas of interest are: Christian Education, Finance-Stewardship, Membership, Memorial, Mission Outreach, Recreation, Social, Social Action, Staff, Trustees, WINGS (Women in God’s Service), Music, and Worship.
Official Board positions are elected at a congregational meeting for a term of 1 year.
