Wedding Services

As you make plans for your wedding, knowing about the services of Greenmont-Oak Park Community Church, United Church of Christ, will assist you in your planning. Since we are a Community Church in covenant with the United Church of Christ, providing ceremonies of matrimony is an important part of our service to our community. We offer our services for both church members and non-members of our community.

Planning Your Wedding

    You may request the services of our pastor. Our minister is licensed by the State of Ohio and given anthority to solemnize marriages. You may also request the use of our building for your special day. Our church is limited to weddings of 300 people or less in size. If you prefer your ceremony on other premises, you still may request the services of our pastor.     Asking our pastor to perform your service of Marriage, assumes that you are requesting a worship service. You are saying in essence, “We invite God into our marriage and wish to make our vows before God and our family and friends.“ Your service of Marriage may be as elaborate or as simple as you desire. Whether public or private, large or small, you will want to make this ceremony as beautiful, meaningful and reverent as possible; This requires careful preparation and planning.

Setting the Date & Time

   
Before setting the date  and time, please call the church office at 252-6705 to inquire about the avilability of the Pastor and/or the church building for both the service and/or rehearsal.  
  We provide staff services of: Pastor, Wedding coordinator, Organist, and Custodian.  
  Wedding policies and fees will be discussed with your first call to the Pastor.
